The organization persistently works silently among the disabled. For the purpose of co-ordination of work there is one Chairman and a coordinator for each chapter. Dr. Manoj Arukandathil is the founder and Chairman of SMART . With the intention of extending its core activities nationwide work has already been started at different parts of the country.

SMART is an organization which includes people of various faiths who are committed to social justice, peace, and humanitarian service. Its work is based on the belief in the worth of every person, and faith in the power of love to overcome violence and injustice.” To lead to light those who are in deep darkness and their uplifting” is the driving slogan of SMART

Programs, news, resources, and opportunities for involvement are provided at SMART. The act of making peace everyday begins with oneself, ones family and friends and the community. The organization connects people through the message of non-violence, compassion, human rights, and universal responsibility, individual and collective. We strongly believe that there exists within human beings the capacity for good and the spirit of peace.

SMART also runs several Hospitals and Orphanages as part of its humanitarian activities.
